Bhatia Alloy Commissions 620 kW Solar Power Plant at Unit U3

Bhatia Alloy 620 kW solar power plant at Unit U3

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable manufacturing and responsible growth, Bhatia Alloy has completed the installation of a 620 kW solar power system at Unit U3. The facility is scheduled to become fully operational next week, marking another important milestone in the company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey.

With this installation, Unit U3 will transition to a hybrid power model, drawing electricity from both the conventional power grid and renewable solar energy. This approach improves energy resilience while reducing dependence on conventional power sources and supporting the company's long-term sustainability objectives.

The new system also strengthens operational continuity during power outages. Previously, the facility relied entirely on diesel generators during interruptions in grid supply. Under the new setup, the electrical load will be shared between the solar power system and generators, significantly reducing diesel consumption while maintaining reliable operations.

Beyond improving operational efficiency, the initiative is expected to lower carbon emissions by reducing the use of fossil fuels across day-to-day manufacturing activities. It represents another step in Bhatia Alloy's broader strategy of integrating environmentally responsible practices into its manufacturing ecosystem without compromising productivity or quality.

As the company continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities, investments in renewable energy remain an important part of building a more sustainable, resilient and future-ready operation.
